The surgery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and ALL staff have had a DBS check.
Sunny Meed has 5 permanent Doctors and is host to doctors training to become GPs who spend either a year (Registrar) or 4 months (Foundation Year doctor/ Specialist Training Doctor) at the Surgery gaining experience in primary care work. They are all qualified doctors who have had a number of years experience working in Hospital.

MB BCh (Belfast 1988) DGM MRCGP
A full time Principal and Senior Partner, undertaking all aspects of general practice work and is a GP Trainer.
He is responsible for the training and supervision of Registrars at the practice. He is also lead for minor surgery and undertakes both 'liquid nitrogen' clinics and minor surgery clinics (including joint injections) for patients registered on a weekly basis. He is named lead for Clinical and Information Governance (Caldicott Guardian) and is the Registered Manager for CQC purposes at the practice.

MBBS DCH (London 1994) DRCOG DFFP MRCGP Cert Diabetes (Warwick)
A full time Principal at the practice undertaking all aspects of primary care work.
She is lead for diabetes, having a weekly diabetic clinic on a Tuesday alongside Sister Clare Fluker. She also coordinates research at the practice (working alongside the Clinical Research Network -CRN) and represents the practice at CCG level. She is prescribing lead and is a Clinical Supervisior who oversees teaching and training of staff including Foundation Year doctors who are gaining experience of working in General Practice.

A full time partner undertaking all aspects of GP clinical work at the practice with lead roles in safeguarding and palliative care.
|Dr Alia Sahil (f)|
A GP who has been working at Sunny Meed since June 2015 and has clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She undertakes all aspects of clinical work and is a permanent member of the medical team.
|Dr Roopinder Brar (f)|
A GP who undertakes all aspects of clinical work, working on Tuesdays and Fridays at Sunny Meed surgery. She is a permanent member of the medical team and books coil fittings (and removals).
|Dr Holly Poppe (f)|
A fully qualified doctor completing part of her specialist GP training at Sunny Meed until August 2018. She undertakes all aspects of GP clinical work at the surgery and works Wednesdays - Fridays.
There is a formal 'handover' process in place for all doctors who leave the surgery at the end of their training placement.
